The Sierracgaux.org Web Site was awarded 1st place in the Division Class for Coast Guard Auxiliary District 11N at the annual District Training Conference held in Rohnert Park, CA.
Every year a dedicated group of swimmers takes on Lake Tahoe, swimming its width. These swimmers do not use wet suits! They swim in relay with support boats at their sides. The Coast Guard Auxiliary and Coast Guard provide support boats to protect the swimmers from oncoming boats and other hazards.
